Low carb pasta recipes – Most people, when they hear low carb diet or keto diet they often connect it to “no more eating my favorite pasta” if I decide to follow the diet which is not true at all.
Of course, they would have to be prepared in a way that they will be low carb or keto friendly but you won’t have to give them up entirely.
We admit that it can be challenging to keep to this type of diet considering the modern way of life we live today and how busy we are all the time to prepare decent and healthy meals for ourselves but all it takes is a little will and it’s actually quite possible to maintain.
We will go ahead and assume that the only thing keeping you from trying out low carb or keto diet is the fact that you’ll miss eating pasta often, we prepared a few low carb pasta recipes that you can enjoy quite often.
Ravioli Lasagna
This Ravioli Lasagna recipe only contains 63g of carbs which for pasta is actually not too high carb compared to regular pasta recipes you can prepare.
Even though it’s low carb it’s quite filling offering 731 calories, 37g fat and 37g protein. It’s absolutely delicious and if you’re a lasagna lover and decided to go low carb, this dish will be perfect for you.

Ingredients
- 1 diced sweet onion
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp salt
- ¾ tbsp fresh ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 2 pounds ravioli
- 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
- 1 ½ cups ricotta cheese
- 3 tbsp chopped fresh basil
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

- Preheating the oven to 375 F

To make this awesome lasagna you’ll need to start by preheating the oven to 375F and grease a casserole dish using a nonstick spray.
Get a pan and heat up the olive oil and afterwards add the onion and cook it around 5 minutes before adding the garlic and cooking for another minute.
Get the ground beef and also add it to the pan to cook for about 8 minutes and season it with salt, pepper and oregano.
Add the marinara sauce until it simmers for around 20 minutes.
As the sauce is cooking, take another pot with salt water and boil it before adding the ravioli (cook the ravioli according to the instructions on the box).
To create the lasagna you’ll need to, first place one layer of ravioli on the bottom of the dish.
Take ¼ of the sauce and spread it over the ravioli and afterwards add ½ cup of ricotta cheese and top with ¼ cup mozzarella.
Repeat this for two more times and put the lasagna to bake till the cheese melts which usually takes about 30 minutes.
Sweet Potato Noodles
This recipe is really nice and tasty low carb pasta recipes and it goes well with almond sauce although adding the sauce will add more carbs to it but it will still not be too high on carbs.
Without the sauce it will have around 25g carbs and with the sauce it’ll go up to 39g carbs. The almond sauce will actually give it much more flavor and make it even more delicious.
Either way you pick to make, this dish will be extremely tasty.
The ingredients you’ll need to make four servings of this dish are:
- 2 tablespoons of virgin olive oil
- 4 cups of torn kale
- Salt and ground black pepper
- 3 sweet potatoes, preferably cut into noodles using a spiralizer
- ½ cup of salted, toasted and chopped almonds
And if you decide to make the sauce as well you’ll need:
- 2 tablespoons of virgin olive oil
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 3 minced shallots
- 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
- Salt and ground black pepper
You want to start by preparing the sauce first and to make that, you’ll need a medium sized pot in which you’ll put the olive oil and heat it up before adding the garlic and shallots to cook for about 1 minute.
Add the flour inside and use a stirrer to constantly stir the mixture and once it’s cooking for 1 minute, add the almond milk as well without stopping the stirring so the sauce turns out really nice.
Turn the heat to medium and cook for about 5 minutes so the mix comes to a simmer.
To make just the noodles get a pan and heat the olive oil.
Once heated, add the sweet potato noodles and cook them till they are well cooked which should take around 6 minutes.
Once they are done put the kale in and cook it as well before adding the almond sauce over to cover the noodles.
Use the chopped almonds to add as a topping and season the noodles with salt and pepper.
Spaghetti With Marinara Mushroom Sauce
An absolutely brilliant spaghetti dish that will give you the much needed hope when you’re feeling like you’ve exhausted all the low carb pasta recipes.
It’s quite low on carbs but it tastes amazing and it is very filling as well. It has only 25g of carbs and the ingredients you’ll need to make 4 servings of this one are:
- 1 halved spaghetti squash with the seeds taken out
- 1 pint of sliced mushrooms
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 4 tablespoons virgin olive oil
- Salt and ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of freshly chopped thyme
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 4 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 2 teaspoons of chopped rosemary
Making this dish is quite easy and to start it of you’ll need the oven preheated to 400F.
Take a baking sheet and use parchment paper to cover it and also take the squash and use a brush to cover the inside of it with one tablespoon of olive oil.
Put the squash on the baking sheet and inside the oven to bake for about 45 minutes.
As the squash is cooking, take a pan and add 3 tablespoons of olive oil in it to heat them up.
Once it’s heated well, get the mushrooms and cook them till they are brown which should take around 5 minutes.
When they seem well cooked introduce the garlic in the pan and cook for about 1 minute before adding the thyme and rosemary while stirring the mixture.
Season the mixture with some salt and pepper and put it in a plate.
Don’t get rid of the frying pan yet because you’ll need to add the marinara sauce in it and cook it for around 5 minutes.
When the squash is baked well enough, take it out of the oven and serve it with the marinara sauce, mushrooms and the nutritional yeast.
