Can it be stored?
Once finished the sauce is great served right away with anything, ranging from vegetables to keto pasta dishes but it’s also quite alright if you want to store it for later.
The preparation for storing it in your fridge for later use is quite easy and it can last for up to one week which is actually great. However, when you decide to use it, make sure you heat it up in a microwave on medium strength so that the sauce doesn’t split or separate in any way due to sudden rise in temperature.
Keep in mind when you store the keto Alfredo sauce that it might get thicker as the time goes by and the sauce sits in the fridge so if you don’t really like it think, just use some more cream to reduce the thickness.
Can it be frozen?
The other upside is that even if you need this sauce for some other time in the “not so near” future you can freeze it quite easily and it will last.
However, you’ll have to pay attention to a few very important parts like getting a plastic freezer bag and squeezing the air out of it to make sure the seal is airtight.
Also make sure to put a date label on the bags just so you don’t forget when the date you made it and sealed it was. The sauce should be edible and very delicious for at least a few months but remember not to heat it up too quick after taking it out of the freezer.
